Leicester City's 2-0 win over Sevilla on Tuesday night booked their spot in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Despite a disappointing title defence, Leicester are continuing to the roller-coaster of success in the Champions League, joining the elite of European competition.

Craig Shakepeare's side have reached the quarter-finals at the first time of asking. While Tuesday night's result was another historic occasion in the meteoric ascent of the club, it may have put added pressure on Arsenal.

Leicester City became the fifth Premier League club to reach the Champions League quarter-finals since Arsenal last reached that stage. The Foxes joined Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City in playing the the quarter-finals since 2010.

For seven seasons in a row, Arsenal have been knocked out in that Last-16. In that dismal run, Arsene Wenger's side were eliminated by Barcelona (x2), Bayern Munich (x3), AC Milan and Monaco.

While Arsenal's 10-2 Champions League elimination has been widely written about in recent weeks, Leicester's ease at reaching the quarter-final stages will not have gone unnoticed in north London.

Arsenal currently lie in fifth place, and may miss out on the Champions League for the first time since 1997-98. But for Leicester City, the dream continues.
