Sunderland are expected to have a new manager in place in the coming days after the club sacked Martin O'Neill last night.

The Black Cats lost 1-0 at home to Manchester United to leave them just one point above the relegation zone in the Premier League.

Steve McClaren and Mark Hughes are among the names to be linked with a move to the Stadium of Light.
