Amir Khan has told fans he will not be fighting Floyd Mayweather, and said the undefeated Mayweather is “running scared”.
Khan suggested Mayweather would face Argentine fighter Marcos Maidana, despite the British boxer believing he was in line for the big money fight.
Khan made his grievances public in a series of Tweets on Friday.
"No response from Mayweather or his team," Khan wrote.
"Fights not happening. I should of taken the title fight last December against Alexander...
"Very disrespected by his team. Wasted my time. Good luck to Maidana, against Mayweather.
"Can I apologise to the thousands of people who are let down. You me and everyone wanted the Mayweather fight. He's running scared."
