Dublin corner back Kevin O'Brien has picked up anterior cruciate ligament damage in his right knee.
The news was confirmed following a scan this morning.
O'Brien sustained the damage playing for DIT against UUJ in the Sigerson cup yesterday and may now miss most of the league and Championship season.

After captaining Dublin to the All Ireland U21 title in 2012, O'Brien started a number of key games on the way to the 2013 All Ireland senior championship.
