Keith Wood feels Brian O'Driscoll should have been allowed to relinquish the Ireland captaincy when he wished and Declan Kidney's decision to drop O'Driscoll as captain is "a little bit premature".

Wood, a former Ireland captain, felt the decision to drop Brian O’Driscoll as Ireland captain was a “bolt out of the blue” and was confused by some of the reasoning behind the decision.

Wood also told Newstalk’s Oisin Langan how he sees this weekend’s Heineken Cup games going for the four provinces.
