Saturday's crunch game between Leinster and Munster should be closer than last night's Manchester derby.

But for the moment Keith Wood is still pitting Leinster as favourites.

The former Ireland captain and Gerry Thornley previewed the Rabo match on Wednesday Night Rugby and Keith believes Leinster are "on a roll".

"I think Leinster have to be favourites for it. They're playing at home. They're on a roll for a variety of reasons," said Keith.

Gerry agrees that Leinster are favourites but thinks that there is little to choose between the two sides in certain positions.

"They are more match-hardened, they are at home and they will have more of the ball. Munster haven't beaten them at the Aviva since '08. They are top of the table and have the strongest squad. They're entitled to be favourites and [Donncha] Ryan is a loss. But you look through the two teams and even though Leinster are bulk suppliers to Ireland, you've got Dave Kilcoyne, PJ Botha, Paul O'Connell and anyone in the second row, Peter O'Mahony, Tommy O'Donnell, Conor Murray has the edge at 9, there is no Jonny Sexton at 10 anymore which means the gulf at 10 isn't as great," said Gerry.

The lads also discussed the news that a new European club rugby tournament will be announced tomorrow and the implications for the Irish provinces.
