Katie Taylor has confirmed she will remain in amateur boxing. The Olympic gold medalist told Newstalk she has decided, officially, to decline the professional contracts that she was offered since the Olympic games in London and carry on in aamteru boxing with the goal of winning a second Olympic gold medal in the 2016 games in Rio de Janeiro.

Taylor told Oisin Langan there is "nothing better...than boxing for your country" and her "heart was always in amateur boxing."
