A report in the Times today suggests that Jose Mourinho does not see Ryan Giggs as a loyal assistant manager and therefore unwilling to offer him a role in his backroom staff.
Giggs, who was assistant manager to both Louis van Gaal and previously David Moyes, has not had a conversation with the recently-appointed Mourinho and it appears as though Giggs' three decade association with the club is about to come to an end.
Rui Faria, Mourinho's long-time number two, will most likely come in in place of the former Man United winger due to the fact that Mourinho is looking for "unswerving loyalty and complete support" from his assistant and these are not traits he believes to be inate in Giggs.
Mourinho vetoed Giggs appointment at #mufc as felt he distanced himself from Moyes & Van Gaal. They haven't spoken. https://t.co/tGIMYIu5pg

Giggs' relationship with vocal and long-time Louis van Gaal critic Paul Scholes may also be a point of contention for Mourinho along with Giggs' apparent disassociation from the two previous managers when the times got tough.
