Leinster Rugby announced this morning that Matt O'Connor's time in charge of Leinster has come to an end. The Australian joined the province in the summer of 2013, replacing Joe Schmidt as head coach.

He won the Pro12 in his first season in charge at the RDS, but the side failed to reach the play offs this season, finishing in fifth place.

In O'Connor's two seasons in charge the three time European champions were knocked out of Europe at the quarter final and semi finals stages to Toulon in France. The French side went on to win the tournament on both occasions.

Former Ireland and Leinster prop Reggie Corrigan spoke to The Pat Kenny Show this morning, about O'Connor's departure and who he feels might take the hotseat at the RDS.
