Chelsea have handed club captain John Terry a new one-year contract extension.

The veteran defender, who was out of contract at the end of this season, has agreed a new deal to extend his Stamford Bridge career up until 2015.

There had been some uncertainty about the former England international future but last week Jose Mourinho had suggested that he wanted to keep the Blues legend at the club.
