Alan Pardew is bracing himself for a fairly heavy book being thrown at him.
But according to former Newcastle and Ireland Ireland defender John Anderson, the Magpies manager should also be worried about the reaction of the club's fanbase.
The Dubliner, who covers games with BBC Radio Newcastle, told us: "Supporters are split on it. Thing is, he had supporters who didn't want him here in the first place and it just gives them more ammunition to have a go at him. Some of the [fans] think he's doing a great job. He finished fifth two years ago, struggled a little bit last year but I think that was down to the fact that they had a lot of Europa League games and injuries to key players. But they are eighth this season and things are going very well. But there are supporters that didn't want him here from day one."
While Newcastle owner Mike Ashley was allegedly furious about Pardew's antics, Anderson believes the relationship between him and Pardew is strong enough to weather this particular storm.
"Well, he gave him an eight year contract, didn't he? I think he's always been safe. And I feel for Alan Pardew to a degree because he's the only one at the football club who faces the media. He gets asked questions that he really shouldn't be answering because the PR at the club is that poor."
