Former Cork City and Ireland midfielder, Joe Gamble, fancies his old side to beat KRC Genk and progress in Europe.

Cork go into the game 1-0 down but in front of a sold-out Turner's Cross, Gamble is expecting the Belgians to have a rough night. He believes Dundalk's exploits to be a "great boost" to the Leesiders and hopes they will pressure the visitors from the beginning.

Speaking to Newstalk's Oisin Langan he said: "Cork City fans are such passionate fans, they'll drive the team on. I think the tactics will change a bit because the fans will be urging the team on, maybe not sit so deep."

Gamble doesn't expect Cork to sit back and grow into the game saying: "They mightn't be as much defensive and counter-attack style. The pitch is small compared to Genk- It's narrow, it's not a typical European pitch. It will suit Cork. They'll be able to get at the players and the Genk players won't have as much space as they would like. I think they'll be much more on the front foot"
