Donegal lightweight Joe Duffy record the quickest win of his professional career on Thursday night with a 25 second submission win over Canadian Mitch Clarke.

Duffy's win comes off the back of his only loss in the UFC, when he lost a unanimous decision to Dustin Poirier in Las Vegas in January. The two men were originally due to meet in Dublin last October.

The 28-year-old has now improved his record to 3-1 in the UFC, and 15-2 overall after the rear-naked choke. It's the tenth submission win of his career.

In the main event. Eddie Alvarez defeated Rafael dos Anjos for the UFC Lightweight Championship. It is the first time, the two-time Bellator champion has won UFC gold.

After the win, Alvarez set his sights on Conor McGregor, if the Dubliner would move up from the featherweight division.

"I would ask Dana White, please give me an easier fight like Conor McGregor. I deserve that. I've been fighting the best guys, so I would like a gimme fight. So, Conor, I'd more than welcome that."
