Joachim Low has apologised for his pitchside behaviour during Germany's 2-0 win against Ukraine at the weekend.

The Germany manager was seen with his hands down the front and back of his trousers at various points during the game. He then appeared to smell his fingers after the incident.

Speaking in Paris ahead of Germany's game with Poland, Low felt compelled to apologise for his behaviour during the World Champion's first win of the tournament.

"I saw the pictures as well and obviously sometimes you do things subconsciously. It happened and I am sorry."

"It was adrenaline and concentration. I will try to behave differently in the future."

Germany know that a win against their local rivals will be enough to book their spot in the Last-16. The two teams met in qualifying with each side winning their home games.
