Spain’s Miguel Angel Jimenez holds the outright lead at the 2013 Open Championship at Muirfield, leading the field by the narrowest of margins. Jimenez leads a pack of four by just one stroke, with his three under score enough to separate him from a chasing pack of four golfers on two under.
Tiger Woods, Dustin Johnson, Lee Westwood and Henrik Stenson all sit on two under going into today’s third round, with Stenson due to tee off alongside Jimenez later today, and Woods and Westwood going out shortly before them.
Rory McIlroy misses the weekend, with an amassed 12 over from 36 holes over Thursday and Friday meaning he misses the cut. Darren Clarke leads the Irish challenge – the 2011 champion is on 1 over, with Graeme McDowell second best of the Irish, sitting back in tied 34th on 4 over.
Padraig Harrington and Shane Lowry are already out on the course, on 6 over par with a par each on the opening hole of today’s round.
