Jason Quigley has made an emphatic entrance into the professional boxing arena. The Donegal man won his first professional fight with a stunning first round stoppage of American Howard Reece (2-7) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in Las Vegas last night.

The American Reece was on the canvas after just 45 seconds and the referee stopped the fight after just 82 seconds as Quigley moved in for a clinical finish against the American, who has now lost 7 of his 9 pro bouts.

Quigley is signed up to Golden Boy Promotions, one of boxing’s most powerful promoters, led by Oscar De La Hoya. Quigley has a five year deal with the Los Angeles based Golden Boy Promotions. Quigely was fighting on the undercard of the Canelo Alvarez and Erislandy Lara fight. Alvarez won the fight on a split decision.
