Jared Goff is finally getting his chance as an NFL starter this weekend.

Goff was the first pick in last summer's NFL Draft, but the Los Angeles Rams quarterback, has yet to start a game in the league. LA moved to the top of the Draft order after giving their first round, two second round, and third round picks in the Draft to the Tennessee Titans as well as next year's first and third round selections.

The Rams have struggled this season, with a 4-5 record at the start of the season, under quarterback Case Keenum. Goff has been promoted to start in the Week 11 game against Miami.

Despite being the first pick in the Draft, plenty of other quarterbacks from the 2016 Class have moved ahead of the 22-year-old in the NFL pecking order. Carson Wentz (#2 pick to Philadelphia) and Dak Prescott (#135 to Dallas) have impressed this season for their respective teams.

Players like Paxton Lynch (#26 to Denver) and Jacoby Brissett (#91 to New England) have started games in the league before Goff was given a chance.

Speaking on Tuesday, LA Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said that the decision to start Goff against Miami was not " spontaneous decision", but he added it was a "gut feel".

After the impressive starts by players like Wentz and Prescott, Goff will be under even more pressure, in his first game as an NFL starter.
