Carl Frampton was the star of the show last Saturday when he defeated Scott Quigg in their World title bout in Manchester.

The Belfast fighter won by split decision, but it was one of his fellow countrymen that was gaining headlines for his actions outside of the ring. James Nesbitt spoke to Sky before the fight with AP McCoy about how important Quigg was to Northern Ireland.

The actor was slurring his words in the interview which he has unsurprisingly revealed was due to "a bit too much hospitality beforehand".

Nesbitt was speaking on BBC Northern Ireland's Nolan show earlier this week from Singapore when he sent a video message to Frampton who was on the show.

The 51-year-old even revealed that when waking up in Manchester on Sunday morning after the fight he felt he had gone through 12 rounds with Frampton himself.
