Irish management have confirmed that Paddy Jackson will start at out half for Saturday's visit of France to the Aviva Stadium.

The Ulster number 10 has now fully recovered from a hamstring strain, which means that Ian Madigan is named on the bench.

Ireland team manager Mick Kearney has revealed that Jackson trained with no discomfort what-so-ever this morning, which has cleared the way for him to retain his place in the starting side.

Declan Kidney has also named uncapped Stephen Archer among the replacements after the Munster prop was preferred to Michael Bent.

Meanwhile, France coach Philip Saint Andre has paired Freddy Michalak and Morgan Parra in the half backs for the trip to Dublin.

Centre Mathieu Bastareaud didn't train fully this week, so Florian Fritz takes his place in midfield.

Winger Maxime Medard also returns in place of Benjamin Fall, but there's no change to the forward pack.
