Update - 21/05/2017 10.05

Jack McGrath's arm injury is unlikely to scupper his plans to go on tour with the British and Irish Lions this summer.

The Leinster player was withdrawn from his side's PRO12 semi-final defeat on Friday night inside the opening 10 minutes, and looked to be in pain.

There were initial fears about how his injury could implicate his Lions prospects, with the team preparing to travel to New Zealand in two weeks.

Following the game on Friday night, Leinster Head Coach Leo Cullen told Gavin Cummiskey of the Irish Times that McGrath would require an X-ray, 'to see how it is.'

The results of that X-ray have allayed those fears it seems, and McGrath is likely to be fit for the tour, which begins with a fixture against the New Zealand Provincial Barbarians on June 3rd.

Leinster, Ireland and Lions teammate Tadhg Furlong, was also withdrawn from Friday night's game, but his injury was a less serious cramp issue.
