County Cork’s Danica Holland sang Lady Gaga’s hit Do Want U Want to the backdrop of some fairly raunchy moves by dancers.

Voice of Ireland judge ‘Bressie’ described the performance as a “scene from Basic Instinct” while some viewers claimed it was too much for the show’s younger audience.

The 22-year-old admitted her own mother had some concerns about the choreography but the show’s producer Larry Brass defended it saying: “It’s an entertainment show and we are gone beyond being prudish – it’s only a bit of fun.”
