There is a two-way tie for the lead at the Irish Open at Carton House, but there is a raft of Irish stars that are at the wrong end of the leaderboard.

Peter Uihlein and Robert Rock have both finished the day on 9-under par after rounds of 68 and 66 respectively and they share a 2-shot lead over the rest of the field.

Shane Lowry has dropped two shots so-far for his round to slip back to 3-under par - the same score as Gareth Shaw.

The projected cut currently stands at level par, which means that Padraig Harrington and Graeme McDowell are a shot outside that mark having already finished their second rounds.

Rory McIlroy is currently on 1 over par after 9 holes of his second round, which leaves him with some work to do if he is to make the weekend field.
