Motorsport Ireland and Sport Ireland have confirmed that race driver Garreth Hayden has been handed a 15-month ban after he failed a drug test.

The driver failed a test for a metabolite of cocaine after last year's Irish Touring Car Championship in Mondello Park.

His ban starts in July 2015 when he was originally suspended.
