Irish cricket had it’s annual awards ceremony last night with Ed Joyce being named the Ireland’s International Men’s Player of the Year at the RSA Cricket Awards.

It has been a good season for Irish cricket, with World Cup qualification already secured and a memorable one day international against England played in front of a sell-out crowd in Malahide.

There remains plenty of work to do on the field though and Ireland wicket keeper Niall O’Brien dropped in to studio this afternoon to speak with Ger Gilroy
