Ireland's have left themselves in real danger of the wooden spoon after a 22 - 15 defeat to Italy.

The loss in Rome is Ireland's first ever to the Azurri in the Six Nations. 

Paddy Jackson all of Ireland's points but it was Gio Venditti's second half try which proved to be the difference.

Brian O'Driscoll was also sin-binned in the first half in what could prove to be his last game in green.

If France beat Scotland by 17 points tonight, Ireland will finish bottom of the standings.
