England beat Ireland 12 - 6 at the Aviva in their crunch Six Nations clash.
England went into the break 6-0 up thanks to two penalties from Owen Farrell.
Ronan O'Gara who came on for the injured Jonny Sexton responded with two penalties in the second half.
But Farrell restored England's six point lead with two more penalties as they secured their first Championship win over Ireland in Dublin since 2003.
Simon Zebo also limped off for Ireland in the 11th minute and was replaced by Keith Earls.
Next up for Declan Kidney's men is a trip to Murrayfield in two weeks time to take on Scotland.
