Ireland begin their preparations for the upcoming friendly against England and the crucial Euro 2016 qualifier against Scotland later today.

Martin O'Neill's squad have convened in north Dublin with the first training session due to take place later today.

O'Neill made some cuts to his provisional squad at the weekend with Kevin Doyle, Anthony Stokes, Simon Cox and Anthony Pilkington faied to make the final squad.

The uncapped duo of Aberdeen striker Adam Rooney and Brentford midfielder Alan Judge, have also been cut from the squad.

Next Sunday's international with England is the first in Dublin between the two sides since the 1995 abandoned game when David Kelly gave Ireland a 1-0 lead midway through the first half.

Scotland arrive in Dublin on June 13th for the Euro 2016 qualifier with Martin O'Neill's side lying in fourth place in Group D, two points behind Poland and Scotland.
