Ireland have defeated Zimbabwe by 331/8 to 326/10
Ed Joyce (112) and Andrew Balbirnie (97) combined to give Ireland a strong start to today's game at the Bellerieve Oval in Hobart. Gary Wilson and John Mooney added a few more before reaching 20 over, leaving Ireland on a comfortable 331 runs.
However, Zimbabwe came remarkably close to matching their opponents, with Sean Williams and Brendan Taylor driving them towards the target with a partnership of 149 runs.
It was an incredibly close finish, with Zimbabwe falling requiring just eight runs in the final over. But it was a delivery from Alex Cusack, knocked high by Mupariwa and caught mid-on by William Porterfield that sealed the victory.
Ireland now move up the table to fourth place.
