Celtic have become the first Scottish top-flight side to go the whole league season unbeaten in 118 years.

The champions ended their Premiership campaign with a 2-0 victory over Hearts on Sunday afternoon.

Celtic notched an incredible 106 points in the league this season, finishing 30 points ahead of second placed Aberdeen.

In total, Brendan Rodgers' side won 34 of their 38 league games, drawing the remaining four.

Leigh Griffiths gave the home side the lead on 50 minutes, before Stuart Armstrong secured the win with a second.

Kolo Toure also drew plaudits for featuring in a second team to go a league season unbeaten. Toure was, of course, part of the Arsenal 'Invincibles' side of the early noughties.

Celtic have a chance to complete a domestic treble in next week's Scottish Cup final.

Their opponents for that, Aberdeen, warmed up with a 6-0 thrashing of Partick away from home.
