Galway United were 4-2 winners against Wexford at Eamonn Deacy Park on Friday night in game that had plenty of entertainment.

The home side went behind thanks to a goal from Shane Dunne, but they struck back a minute later through Gary Shanahan to make it 1-1.

Before the half-time whistle, Vinny Fatherty put Galway ahead, as Wexford went in 2-1 down at the break. Galway added to their lead in the second half, with the goal of the game through Ryan Connolly.

Things got a little bit hairy towards the end for Galway as Wexford cut their lead through Andy Mulligan in the 85th minute, but Faherty was on hand to once again restore their two goal advantage in added time.

Their performance earned them a standing ovation from the home crowd as they walked off the pitch.

Derry were winners against Bohemians as a single goal from Rory Patterson was enough to see them through, securing their first win in Dalymount since 2013.
