Dundalk remain four points clear of Cork City at the top of the Airtricity League Premier Division after both sides registered 1-0 wins tonight.
Andrew Boyle's first half goal was enough for Dundalk to defeat Bray Wanderers at Oriel Park, while Cork beat 10-man Bohemians 1-0 thanks to Garry Buckley's goal at the start of the second-half at Dalymount Park.
St Pat's beat their hosts Galway United 3-0, in a game which saw both sides finish with just 10-men.
Gary McCabe scored twice for Shamrock Rovers as they cruised to a 3-0 win over Sligo Rovers at the Tallaght Stadium.
Wexford Youths recovered from conceding an early own-goal to claim a morale-boosting 4-2 win over fellow relegation battlers Longford Town in their bottom-of-the-table clash.
And there was a frantic finish to tonight's north-west derby at the Brandywell. There were three goals scored in the closing six minutes as Derry City and Finn Harps played out an entertaining 2-2 draw.
