Liverpool have been dealt a severe blow in the first half of their Premier League clash with Sunderland after midfielder Philippe Coutinho was stretchered off with a severe leg injury.

Reports from Anfield are speculating that Coutinho has either sustained a twisted ankle or a broken leg, although they are leaning more towards the latter.
