Henry Shefflin says the next few weeks will be devoted to All-Ireland club final preparations, before a huge decision on his future is made.

Speaking to Newstalk's Oisin Langan after his Ballyhale Shamrocks side beat Galway side Gort 2-17 to 1-15 for a place in the All-Ireland club hurling final, the 36-year-old gave an update on where he is at in terms of his future.

"I'm absolutely thrilled that I have another five and a half weeks of doing my own thing and concentrate on the club, getting myself ready for an All-Ireland final and then I'll be able to go off into the sunset and decide whether I'm going to stay or not. That's a brilliant feeling to have," he said.

The Kilkenny legend scored 0-5 on the way to winning the Man of the Match award against Gort and also looked ahead to the St Patrick's Day final against Kilmallock.
