Last night’s 2-1 home defeat – Ireland’s second home defeat of this qualifying campaign – has rendered it an almost absolute certainty that Giovanni Trapattoni is entering the endgame of his time as Ireland manager. To discuss where Ireland can go from here Newstalk Sport Saturday spoke with Colin Young – Daily Mail writer covering the Irish national side – and Kevin Kilbane about what happens now and, importantly, who might be available to take over from the departing manager?
