It's about 18 months since France midfielder Yohan Cabaye left Newcastle in a deal worth about €27M.

But his time at Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain has not gone to plan as he struggles for regular game-time ahead of a pivotal season when French players are competing for places in the squad for Euro 2016 on home soil.

With Cabaye seeking more game-time, the rumour mill has been spinning and according to The Mirror, he could be pitching up at Crystal Palace under the management of his former Magpies boss Alan Pardew.

Reports suggest he is available for a cut-price fee and has also been linked with Southampton who are expected to lose midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin to Manchester United.
