Olympic champion Katie Taylor has spoken about her quest to win gold at the first ever European Games later this summer in Baku, Azerbaijan.

As will all tournaments she enters, Taylor will go into the event as the gold medal favourite but she says "I love being the favourite of every competition".

The Bray native says she is looking forward to fighting in Baku, calling the Azerbaijan fans "very knowledgeable".

Ominously for her opponents, Taylor says she "wants to make history" in the sport and also "be the best female boxer of all time."

The Baku games will help Taylor continue her preparation to defend her Olympic title in Rio de Janeiro next year and warns her contemporaries that they "haven't seen the best of me yet".
