Dubliner Paul McGinley is one man who will remember 2014 more fondly than most.
Europe’s Ryder Cup-winning captain, who transformed his own legacy at Gleneagles in September, spoke to our Nathan earlier this month about how he went about steering Rory McIlroy et al to that success.
McGinley also discussed the heavy influence of the GAA on his captaincy, empathised with his Ryder Cup counterpart Tom Watson for the stick the US captain suffered in its aftermath, and looked forward to his part in Team Ireland’s preparations for the Rio Olympic Games in 2016.
