Renowned athletics coach Alberto Salazar says he denies all allegations of doping and has labelled the claims against him as "false" in a statement to The Guardian newspaper.

A BBC Panorama documentary accused him of violating anti-doping rules, and helping Olympic silver medallist Galen Rupp cheat.

The American also coaches Mo Farah, but there are no suggestions the double Olympic champion has done anything wrong.

In a statement, he said: "I will document and present the facts as quickly as I can so that Galen and Mo can focus on doing what they love and have worked so hard to achieve. 

"I have said all along that I believe in a clean sport, hard work and I deny all allegations of doping."
