Did a loss still prove a point for Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is the question that’s been asked all week following the experimental eleven’s 1-0 defeat to Real Madrid at the Bernabu. Steven Gerrard was injected from the bench for that game and made a positive impact along with fellow sub Raheem Sterling both are expected to start tomorrow against Chelsea at Anfield as the reds look to  close the gap on the top four.  Scoring has a been a problem for Liverpool so far this season but they’ve struggled defensibly to keeping just two clean sheets in their last 16 league games. Ahead of this match Brendan Rodgers spoke to the gathered press about losing in Madrid, resting players and the threat of Chelsea who have lost just one of their last six against the Merseysiders.
