Hugh Jackman has long hinted that he's planning to retire from his most recognisable role - Wolverine in the X-Men films. After appearing in seven different films in the franchise - if you include his brief cameo in First Class - you can hardly blame him.
However the actor has finally hinted that he'll be hanging up the claws for good after one last appearance. He took to Instagram to make the announcement:
WOLVERINE ...ONE LAST TIME. HJ

A third standalone Wolverine film is planned, with David James Kelly writing the script for the film which is due in 2017. However it remains unclear whether the character will make an appearance in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse, which features the cast of First Class but not the cast from the original trilogy of films (the two ensembles having teamed up for Days of Future Past).
Jennifer Lawrence has hinted that Apocalypse will mark her final appearance as Mystique.
