Comedian Jerry Seinfeld has been named as Hollywood’s wealthiest actor with a personal fortune of $820 million.
That's all thanks to deals signed for Seinfeld reruns last year. According to the Financial Times, the hit-comedy has generated around $3.1 billion since 1998, the year it went off air.
The actor and comedian has also appeared in numerous films, including voicing a character in the animated feature “Bee Movie” which has added to his huge fortune.
The comedy show has yet to be made available on iTunes Store or Netflix, so even more revenue is likely to be earned from the show.
Wealth-X, a Singapore-based company that tracks the ultra-rich and the amount of money they earn, named their top 5 wealthiest Hollywood and Bollywood actors with Seinfeld topping the list.
Shah Rukh Khan, the star of 50 Bollywood films who has an estimated net worth of $600 million, comes in second place.
Tom Cruise, who owns the Mission: Impossible franchise, is number 3 with Johnny Depp at number 5.
