Glen Hoddle and Fabio Capello are being linked with Spurs following the departure of Andre Villas Boas.

Hoddle who starred at Tottenham during the 80s, previously managed the club between 2001 and 2003 and has been backed by Gary Lineker who said he had a "brilliant football mind".

Current Russia manager Capello was photographed at White Hart Lane during yesterday's 5 - 0 defeat to Liverpool which was the death knell for AVB's tenure of the North London club.

The club says a mutual agreement was reached for the termination of the Portuguese manager's services.

The club added that the decision was in the interests of all parties."

Meanwhile, Spurs have been drawn against Ukrainian opposition in the Europa League.

In the last 32, they will take on Dnipro, who are managed by ex-Spurs and Sevilla chief Juande Ramos.
