QPR chairman Tony Fernandes claims Chris Ramsey will stay on as manager if they avoid relegation from the Premier League.

He has currently got the job until the end of the season.

Before Ramsey was appointed, Fernandes had previously posted on Twitter he thought he had found a "dream manager".

He told Sky Sports News that was the case, but things didn't work out.

"It's Chris's job and he has responded so well. But yes, it wasn't a make believe Tony Fernandes tweet. There was someone there I was very keen on. Things conspired that in the end, we thought we'd go with Chris," said Fernandes.
