Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Alexis Sanchez will not feature for Arsenal in this weekend's North London derby.

The attacker, who has scored 12 league goals for the Gunners, has been struggling with a hamstring problem of late.

Wenger told the club website: "The latest is that Alexis is not ready. He is not far away, the Leicester game is a possibility. He is of course very difficult to keep quiet! He is training but it’s light training."

However, Danny Welbeck is back in training, while Jack Wilshere returns next week.
