Conor Gormley has retired from inter-county football.

The Carrickmore clubman won three All-Ireland titles (2003, 2005, 2008) with Tyrone and also picked up three All Stars in a Red Hand career which stretched back to 2001.

Gormley also won four Ulster championships under the stewardship of Mickey Harte.

Meanwhile, Tyrone great Peter Canavan has joined the country’s U21s backroom team.
