Scotland manager Gordon Strachan feels his side were knocked off-kilter tactically despite managing to get a draw against Ireland at the Aviva Stadium.

The result leaves the Tartan Army two points clear of Ireland in their Euro 2016 qualifier group and speaking after the game, he suggested that the Boys in Green's tactics made it difficult for his team.

"For all you say about systems, we couldn't get ours working, whether it's through Ireland's pressing, their physical strength. They're a big team and maybe that stopped us or maybe a lack of match fitness," he said, highlighting missed passes from his own side.

And despite Shaun Maloney's deflected equaliser salvaging a result, Strachan seemed unsure if changes at half-time improved Scotland's game-plan.

"We looked at it at half-time, moved a few people about. They never actually had a chance, although Shaun popped up, we never had a chance to see if our system worked. All we know is that a wonderful player scored a wonderful goal again.
