Former Aston Villa and Celtic midfielder Stiliyan Petrov is back playing football for Solihull-based Wychall Wanderers over-35s.
The Bulgarian was diagnosed with acute leukaemia in March 2012, and announced his retirement from the professional game just over a year later.
The disease is in remission and Petrov has now played three games.
The former Hoops hero says he is loving being out on a pitch again after a difficult period with his health.
"Everything is fine, touch wood. There are only three months to go on tablets and I'm finished. I'm on steroids until January," he told the Daily Mail.
