Rory McIlroy has said that the golfing world without Tiger Woods "doesn't bear thinking about". 

The four-time Major winner took to his Instagram account after Woods spoke yesterday about returning to the game after back surgery.

"I've no answer. Neither does my surgeon or physio. There's no timetable.", Woods said yesterday when asked about his return date. "There's nothing I can look forward to, nothing I can build towards. Where's the light at the end of the tunnel? I don't know."

Woods last won a Major at the 2008 US Open. He is currently 400th in the World Rankings, dropping more than 350 places in the previous 12 months.
