Gold Cup winner Lord Windermere could make an appearance at Punchestown at the end of next month.
Jim Culloty, the County Cork trainer of the eight year old, has said that while he might be inclined to give Lord Windermere a break for the summer there is a good chance he could compete for the Punchestown Gold Cup on April 30.
Culloty, speaking at Lord Windermere’s stables in Mallow, told Sky Sports: "My gut instinct is to leave him off and get him ready for Cheltenham next year.
"But having said all that, we'll discuss it with the owner and he'll probably get a few entries at Punchestown and suchlike. He might just go straight out into the field, though."
With Davy Russel on board Lord Windermere was a 20-1 winner of Friday’s showpiece race at Cheltenham.
