Rogerio Ceni became the first goalkeeper to score 100 goals at the top level and was a World Cup winner with Brazil in 2002. He often divides opinion but nobody has any doubt as to how good he was from set-pieces.

He retired today with 131 career goals after 25 years stopping possible goals and scoring some of the sweetest struck free-kicks and penalties that we will ever see.

The 42 year old made his debut for Sao Paulo in 1992 and won 18 national titles in total for the club.

Ronaldinho was one of the first to offer his respect for Ceni saying he is a great example as an athlete and a person.

He left us with these little gems to watch for the rest of time.
